# Setup your profile

During your first Picsellia use, setting up your profile information properly is highly recommended.

To do so, let's go to *Personal Settings*.

## 1. Profile information

The *General* tab will allow you to define your first name, last name, username, bio, company, job title, and your profile picture:

The *Appearance* tab allows you to switch between Light, Dark, and System mode (which follows your operating system's preference). This preference is applied and saved automatically.

Around a few dates of the year, Picsellia also displays a seasonal theme (a pumpkin palette at the end of October, for instance). It only changes the colors and the loading animations of the interface, never what you can do with the platform, and the same *Appearance* tab lets you turn it off for your own account.

From the *Shortcuts* tab, you can review and personalize the keyboard shortcuts available across the platform. Exhaustive documentation is available [here](https://documentation.picsellia.com/docs/keyboard-shortcuts).

For obvious security purposes, you can change your Picsellia password at any time from the *Password and authentication* tab:

## 2. Organization preferences

The *Organizations* tab allows you to select the *Default Organization*, meaning the Organization you will always access first right after logging in to Picsellia. It is highly recommended to properly define this one with the *Organization* in which you will develop and operate your models along with your team. This Organization will be used as the default value for the Python SDK for instance.

The list of all the *Organizations* you are part of is also displayed below, and can be filtered using the search bar.

By clicking on the "..." button you'll be able to leave any *Organization*, except the ones you are listed as *Owner*

## 3. API Token

From the *Tokens* tab, you can retrieve your main personal token (*API Token*), it will be used to authenticate and initialize a secured client with Picsellia Python SDK and as a consequence allow you access to your data from the SDK.

**This main token can be used to initialize a Python SDK Client in your personal organization but also in any organization you're part of.**

To install the Picsellia package, please have a look [here,](https://documentation.picsellia.com/docs/installation) and [here](https://documentation.picsellia.com/reference/client) you can access the exhaustive Python SDK documentation.

  ### Confidentiality

  This token is strictly personal and shouldn't be shared with any one, even your organization colleagues for security reasons.

  It is also highly recommended to rotate your token frequently.
</Callout>

In addition to your main API Token, you can also generate additional *Personal Access Tokens*. This can be done by clicking on *Generate new token*, providing its name and an expiration date.

<Image src="https://files.readme.io/7a214b06521e7633648bfa8d00a83a79e1f14773b2141d839bfcc416a3d2c326-image.png" align="center" caption="Generate a temporary token" border={true} />

For a *Personal Access Token*, the token value is displayed only once after its creation, so make sure to copy it at that moment. The list of your *Personal Access Tokens* also shows their last usage date, which can help you identify and clean up tokens you no longer need.

Once created, a *Personal Access Token* can be edited (Name and Expiration Date), rotated or removed as shown below:
